Summer Softball Season… 5.24.2009
Well, our Spring season completed the Friday before last and our Summer season just started
up. We have another 7 games (well, 6 now as we played our first summer game this past Friday)
and then the Softball season will come to a close until Fall ball starts.
It has been a great ride so far and I'm enjoying every minute of every game. It
has really been a blast!
I'm still at 3rd base (which rocks) and my Summer batting stats are below. I will keep my
Spring stats up too just below the Summer stats…

Softball Season Underway… 4.19.2009
I grew up playing baseball, 10 years of it to be exact, and this year both of my nephews enrolled
in county baseball to start their "baseball careers". Watching their first couple of games
reminded me of why I loved playing the game so much back in my younger days and inspired me to get
some of that youth back.
So, I decided to sign up for Men's softball with the county this year. I was lucky enough
to get a call from an existing team and have been loving every minute of it. We play every Friday
night at a local ball park, and so far I have been playing fairly well. I play 3rd base (the hot
corner) as that is what I played when I was younger. And after 3 games, my fielding is solid and
my batting stats are looking pretty darn good…

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow… 3.1.2009
Yep. Just a few days ago we were pushing 70 degrees and some of our flowers were sprouting.
And now, here we are sitting around the freezing mark with somewhere between 2 and 4 inches
of snow on the ground. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great. It has been several years
since I can remember it snowing for so much of the day and with such large flakes.
It is interesting though, it seems we always tend to ring in our Spring with a bit of snow…typically
the only snow we get all year. So anyway, look out ground hog, Spring is on it's way and
I can't wait!
I have temporarily posted the pictures here and will soon have them in the Photo Gallery section.
