A Memorable Geocache - A World Trade Center Memorial

November 19, 2007

My wife and I drove to upstate New York this year for Thanksgiving. Of course, I had to get in some geocaching in every state along the way. Well, while in the middle of nowhere Virginia, I happened along a geocache that I just had to see. A World Trade Center memorial. These photos are of that memorial - a stairway beam from floors 33-36 of one of the WTC towers. This was an amazing stop along our trip...a real moment with real emotion and one I will remember forever.

Look closely at the base plate...it shows what floors this beam once stood holding up.
